❓ COMMON QUESTIONS

Is my save backed up? In the iOS app, yes — to your own iCloud, automatically. Check Settings → Save Data in-game for sync status. iCloud Drive must be enabled on your device. The browser version has no automatic backup: its save lives in that browser only, and clearing your site data erases it. Take a transfer code (below) before you clear anything.
Can I move my empire to another device, or to my phone? Yes, in both editions. Settings → Save Data → Transfer code turns your whole empire into a block of text — keep it in a note or email it to yourself. Paste it into Load transfer code in any Novafall and that empire picks up where it left off. Copy all of it: a half-copied code is refused rather than loaded, so a truncated paste can never quietly corrupt an empire. Loading a code replaces the empire already on that device, so take a code of that one first if you want it back. Purchases don't travel with the code — they stay with the App Store account that bought them, and Shop → Restore Purchases brings them back.
I reinstalled and my empire is gone. Give it a minute on the title screen — iCloud can take a moment to download after a fresh install. Purchases can always be recovered via Shop → Restore Purchases.
Do I have to watch ads or pay? No. There are no forced ads, and every purchase is optional. The browser version has no ads and no purchases at all.
Why can't I buy anything in the browser? In-app purchases are iOS-only. Dark Matter and warp hours are earned by playing anyway, so those packs only skip the wait. The six Precursor Relics are the exception — permanent boosts sold only in the shop, with no way to earn them in game, so browser players can't get those.
